Where Do I Begin...

So the last couple of weeks have been busy. Sorry I haven't posted. It seems by the time I get home from work, supper done, things cleaned, house picked up, homework done, reading done, and getting the kids to bed that I am ready for bed. A couple of weeks ago we celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday. She turned 90 back in February, but we decided to have an open house in April since the weather would be a bit more predictable. (or so we thought) The day before and of the party we went from rain, extreme winds, sleet, hail, to snow. It really turned out to be a fun time though. All of our family was there. We haven't all been together in one place since my cousin's wedding in 1999. It was also fun because a lot of my old neighbors were there so I got to catch up with them and some of my grandma's friends too that I haven't seen forever.

I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I am dilated at 1 1/2 right now so not too much going on. Sunday I woke up with a really bad headache and was very nauseous. I slept most of the day which I've been doing a lot of on the weekends and by supper time I wasn't really hungry, but thought it would help if I ate. I started having some braxton hicks and Paul and I were keeping an eye on the time just in case. About an hour later I was nauseous again and started throwing up. All night and into the next day. I was so exhausted and I would crawl into bed and just about fall asleep and my tummy would wake me up. I just kept praying that the girls wouldn't get it, but if they did that it wouldn' t be that night. I was over it by Monday night and the kids never got it so thank goodness for that. Anyway, I go back to the doctor next Wednesday and we'll see what they say. Lydia is especially getting excited. Mayme is excited for it to be over due to the fact that she hates my big hard tummy now and is ready for the baby to come out. It will make hugging a lot more easier I agree. We are down to two names right now.....we think, but have decided we will wait until we meet him to decide. I don't know why it has seemed so much harder to come up with a boy name. I still have a long list of things to get ready...including packing a bag for the hospital. Hopefully things to get to this weekend. We are celebrating my husbands birthday this weekend even though his birthday isn't until the 3rd. That way if baby decides to come early we get to celebrate it.

I Never Thought I Would Miss This So Much!

So I tried a new way to get into my blog and thought I would see if I would actually be able to post again. Apparently yes!!! I am so excited yet so upset since it's only been my whole pregnancy and I haven't been able to share it with you all. I just had an appointment yesterday. I am at 36 weeks and all looks good. We are excited and waiting. I sometimes don't know if I am more excited to meet the baby or be done with work. Isn't that horrible?? The girls are doing great!! Lydia is in a big girl bed and the transition was no issue at all. She was ready and I think her and Mayme both enjoy it. There first night together was the night before Easter and their conversation went something like this: "Lydia go to bed!" "Why Mayme?" "Lydia do you want the Easter Bunny to come to our house? Because if you don't go to sleep he will just hop on by. Do you want that?" "Mayme who brings the Easter candy? Santa or the Easter Bunny?" "The Easter Bunny of course. Now go to bed." silence "Mayme, I'm going to bed, but I'm not closing my eyes!" silence and sleep. I think I could have stayed up all night listening if they would have kept talking. Today when I got home from work I sat down on the couch and Lydia said she wanted to give the baby a kiss and kissed my belly. She has really been talking about the baby a lot. Mayme keeps asking every day too, how he is. I am going to keep this short tonight and cross my fingers that it will work again. Happy to be in touch with you all again!!

Testing, testing....again

Does anyone even check this anymore? Probably not since it hasn't been working. I'm checking to see if I can get it going again.....Here we go!
